Task
The client wanted to let users quickly compare ways to send money abroad and pick the cheapest one. We mapped which transfer channels mattered, how to compute the real cost including hidden fees, and how to present the comparison clearly. We fixed the data scope and the requirements for rate freshness.
Solution
We built a comparison service across transfer options — P2P crypto, banks, Wise, Revolut — with real-time rates (150+ currency pairs, refreshed roughly every 30 seconds), hidden-fee detection, risk scoring, and a live comparison dashboard. We designed the comparison logic and interface so the best option reads at a glance. We checked the accuracy of calculations and the behavior on rate updates.
Result
The service delivers transparent real-time comparison and helps people save on international transfers. Users see the honest cost of each option with no hidden fees.
Approach & decisions
The most demanding parts were aggregating rates in real time and presenting the comparison clearly. We handled data refresh across many currency pairs carefully so the numbers stayed current and consistent. We built the UX around a single task — quickly seeing the best option, factoring in hidden fees and risk.
